About Buero Bull

What Buero Bull is

  • A plain-English guide to farm admin, compliance, and funding in England.
  • Built so you can find duties, deadlines, and schemes without wading through fragmented GOV.UK pages and acronyms.
  • You know the farming. Buero Bull is for the paperwork layer.

What it does

  • Compliance — what you need to do and by when (e.g. movements, identification, testing, permits), with links to official guidance.
  • Grants and funding — schemes and actions, including matching to farm type / land type where you've set a profile; includes some verified non-GOV.UK schemes (e.g. water company, National Park FiPL, Woodland Trust) clearly labelled.
  • What's changed — has two parts: Updates to guidance we already track, and New additions — pages newly added to Buero Bull.

What it is not

  • Not legal advice and not a substitute for professional advice when you need it.
  • Not the RPA, Defra, APHA, or your vet.
  • Not a guarantee of grant eligibility — that depends on your land, agreements, and the scheme rules on the official page.
  • Not for emergencies (animal welfare, pollution incidents, notifiable disease) — use the proper authorities.

How we keep it honest

  • Answers are grounded in ingested official guidance (mainly GOV.UK), not invented policy.
  • If we do not have verified information, we say so and point you to the RPA helpline: 03000 200 301 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm) or the relevant GOV.UK page.
  • Some schemes are regional (catchments, National Parks, etc.). Always read the scheme page for where it applies and whether applications are open.

Feedback

Buero Bull is built for working farmers. If something is wrong, unclear, missing, or unhelpful, tell us — that is how it improves.

Do not use feedback for urgent legal, pollution, or animal-health emergencies.

England only for now. No account required to use the main tools.
